Southern Energy to Harness PARAGON's Power for Management of Its Major Capital Projects
ViaNovus Provides Project Intelligence to Utility Giant

OAKLAND, Calif. – ViaNovus, a leading provider of program and project management software and services, today announces that its PARAGON Program Management System™ has been selected by Southern Energy to assist in management of the expanding company's capital construction projects. With a current budget of more than $150 million, Southern Energy, a unit of Southern Company, one of the world's largest independent power producers, will implement PARAGON systemwide for use on multiple projects across various states.

Among the primary motivators for Southern Energy's PARAGON implementation is the system's ability to aid in managing cost and minimizing risk on high dollar construction projects. The software and related services offer the utility project intelligence, a new way of working that takes a more integrated, total program approach.
