U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs The
Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) has over 30 sites and currently has over
$1 billion in construction projects worldwide. Their objective was to
develop a project management system which would allow project managers and
the central office in Washington to monitor construction progress on a
program and project level in order to avoid potential claims and
track/forecast construction trends.
ViaNovus consulted with project managers and senior engineers and then developed and managed the delivery of a PARAGON custom cost system. Implementation also included managing project groups to maintain the cost system and improve program functionality; creating customized field documents within the cost system; and customizing reports that detailed financial status of each project and the entire VA construction program. ViaNovus set up the framework for the future expansion of project scope to include replacement/integration of other VA cost systems. ViaNovus also formulated training curriculum and trained the engineering staff at several VA construction sites, including the central office. |
