The Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee
(SLOC) is charged with the fiscal management of all projects
related to the administration of the Winter Games. This is a
$1 billion program encompassing construction, vendor management,
sponsorship management and procurement. SLOC was looking for
a system that would interface with, and roll up budget and cost
information for the budgeting, project controls and contract
procurement divisions and encompass their entire business system.
ViaNovus designed, implemented and supports
a program-wide project controls system which includes cost
tracking, budget management, change management, and custom
reporting features. ViaNovus staff developed custom reports
for the program working closely with SLOC project management
staff. ViaNovus is also completing an analysis of the SLOC
financial management structure, which will enable the departments
to use PARAGON as a detailed budget analysis tool. ViaNovus
also provides on-going telephone technical support for all
sites in the program. Consulting services for this program
has included IT services to assist on-site personnel with
desktop, server, network, and remote connectivity issues.
